  **BUDGET UPDATE**
To keep the Madison community aware of the State's budget and its impact on Madison schools, we have created a separate section for all budget related information.

Visit this page for information on Arizona's budget, the components of school finance, where tax dollars are directed, and what this all means for Madison. All documents, presentations, and important dates can also be found there.

Announcements

Kindergarten Registration is February 4, 2010
Registration for incoming 2010-2011 Kindergarteners is Thursday, February 4 from 7:00am to 7:00pm at all Madison elementary schools. You may stop in at any time to register your child. Madison offers Free, Full Day Kindergarten at all five elementary schools. Madison Traditional Academy is currently accepting reservations for Grades K-7. (Please visit the MTA website for more information on their enrollment process)

Remember to bring your child's birth certificate, immunization records, and your utility bill or rent receipt as proof of address. Children must be five years old before September 1, 2010 to enroll. Space is available for families living outside the district boundaries. Tours may be scheduled by contacting the school of your choice directly.

Madison Health Fair - March 6, 2010
Come increase your health awareness with fun activities, health screenings, information, demonstrations, prizes and raffles at the Madison Health Fair, Saturday March 6 from 9:00am-1:00pm at Madison #1 Middle School.  Please view this flier for more information.

Bond and Override Elections Pass
The Madison School District thanks its voters for approving the bond and override proposals. The district is especially appreciative of parent Sarah Speer who chaired the "Yes Yes" for Madison campaign and all those who actively promoted the bond and override.

Madison Excels in AZ LEARNS
All eight of Madison's schools received labels of Excelling or Highly Performing on their AZ LEARNS labels, the highest labels awarded. Madison Heights, Madison Simis, Madison Traditional Academy, and Madison Meadows all received Excelling labels. Madison Camelview, Madison Park, Madison Rose Lane, and Madison No. 1 all received Highly Performing labels.

Madison is the only elementary school district in Maricopa County in which all schools received either an excelling or highly performing label.
